Petrified (A poem/song)

They're sending me postcards from somewhere on the moon
Asking me to visit them real soon
They're a spooky kind of people, but they don't understand
I live my life nothing short of a simple man

Come take a ride aboard this crazy train
Where you can fly through the skies
And fall like the rain
It blows my mind, but it's driving me insane
And it touches my heart

I'm petrified

They're sending me signals from somewhere up in space
Asking me to describe my face
They're a curious kind of people, but they can't comprehend
I live my life alone, and I don't want another friend

Come join the ride aboard this crazy train
Where you can hide your feelings
And lose what you gain
It's all right, but it's causing me some pain
And it eats at my heart

I'm petrified

And when they dial my number
I pretend I'm someone else
I wonder if they'll ever figure it out?

And in my peaceful slumber
I hear them talking to themselves
I wonder if they'll ever figure me out?

They're sending me pictures from somewhere on the moon
Asking me to visit them real soon
They're a scarry breed of creatures, but they don't understand
I live my life nothing short of green eggs and ham

Come take a ride aboard the all insane
Where you can fly through the night
And fall like the rain
It blows the mind, but nothing will ever change
And it touches my heart

I'm petrified

Come join the ride aboard this crazy train
Where you can hide your feelings
Time and time again
No need to fight as it is your only shame
And it eats at my heart

I'm petrified

And it's all that I got

I'm petrified
