Mission To Mars (A Poem/Song)

MISSION TO MARS By Carroll Bryant

A super nova in my arms
I hold you tight
I love tonight

Then you left and took your charms
You said goodbye
No reason why at all

I just can’t breathe
I watched you leave
You told me to eat something nasty then die
I just can’t speak
I feel so unique
You told me to make like a pilot and fly

Would a mission to Mars be far enough?
I’ll fade in the stars if it’s not true love
I will never come down , I will never be found
Just another lonely man from the planet earth

A solar flare that’s so au contraire
I feel your fire
I love desire

Then you leapt amid midair
It’s adios
And so it goes they say

I just can’t move
I lost that groove
You told me to take a long walk, a short pier
I just can’t escape
I feel so ashamed
You told me to make like a ghost, disappear

Would a mission to Mars be far enough?
I’ll fade in the stars if it’s not true love
I will never come down , I will never be found
Just another lonely man from the planet earth

I’ve got no reason to stay here anymore
Not since that moment when you walked out the door
I haven’t been seen since and my poor heart is missing
You told me for sure what it is I should be kissing

One last chance in all my life
You said hello
I didn’t know

Then you stole the keys to ride
You took to flight
And left it all behind

I just can’t think
I need a stiff drink
You told me to make like a tree and leave
I just can’t moan
I’m completely alone
You told me to go and find my own kind of relief

Would a mission to Mars be far enough?
I’ll fade in the stars if it’s not true love
I will never come down , I will never be found
Just another lonely man from the planet earth

Would a mission to Mars be breaking your heart?
I’ll make a new start if it’s not your stuff
I will never return, I will never be sure
I’m just another lonely man from another universe
Just another lonely man who cannot seem to make it worse
Just another lonely man from the planet earth

Would a mission to Mars be far enough?
I’ll fade in the stars if it’s not true love
