Carroll's Journal: Brain Freeze

I know, I know, it's been a few lifetimes since I did a journal. It's not my fault. (Okay, yes it is) But hear me out, I have been busy as hell. I will catch you all up. First, let me deal with this brain freeze.

Better. (Time elapse)

Okay, in a nut shell, went to California to goof around. Part of that goofing around included going on a few auditions set up with the help of a friend who splits his time between Los Angeles and San Diego. (He lives in L.A. while his GF lives in SD)

Anyhow, I didn't think much about it. I was just killing time. Trying to find something to do. I also made a pit stop to Vegas! It didn't take long for me to regret that decision.

Insert opposite of cha-ching here ---> (________________)

Good news though! I don't have to go back to work. (Okay, that was good news for me) Any old hoot, I got a call back to one of my auditions. I found out when I returned to Ohio. I didn't even have time to do my laundry from my first trip. So, I jumped back in my car and lickity split back to Hollywood to do some more goofing around.

I have some pictures coming up in future posts of some of my trip. I had a whole lot more but I did have some company and well, between the two of us, some of those pictures got mysteriously lost. Anyhow, I haven't heard back from the call back. Oh well, nothing ventured - nothing gained. It did kill some time though.

Damn! This brain freeze is driving me nuts.

Where was I? Oh yeah, well, I had a pretty good time. Along the way, and between then and now, I did buy a laptop. People got tired of lending me theirs. And by people, I mean my sister and my female friend. Mostly my sister.

I also got to sell one of my desk tops which leaves me now with just one. I am debating getting another. In my world, one can not have enough technology. I have also advanced to "sticks", giving up my addiction to CD's to store all of my important information. I currently have a small collection of 32 GB sticks which my life is now being saved to.

I was asked to appear on a game show, but turned it down. You know the one, "Deal Or No Deal" with Howie Mandel. I did think about hanging out on the set of "The Price Is Right" with Drew Carey, but I already met him before and ... I made other plans so .... I guess the price wasn't right. Not that I expected my name to be called or anything.

Had a situation with a friend in which I had to deal with. That's all I got to say about that. Except to say that one should never burden a friendship. Not cool!

Not too long ago, I made some homemade beef stew. It was pretty good. I had potatoes, carrots (small whole ones and sliced), green beans, fried onions, corn, and even put in some broccoli. I had the beef chunks, beef broth, the whole nine yards. Hey! It was pretty damn good. The only problem was I made way too much. I made it in this huge kettle I have and figured to have some guests but, turned out they never showed. I ate the stuff for two days before moving on to other foods, but I had a ton of it left over. I figured to get back to it after a few days but about a week passed before I reheated it and had another couple of bowls.

Bad move!

I got a little sick. Maybe I left it in the fridge a little too long. No, I didn't spew or anything like that, but I came close. (I haven't hurled my cookies for almost 15 years now and I aim to keep the streak alive) But like I said, I did come very close. That next day after eating, I was feeling really bad. I ended up covering myself with some ice packs to help fight the nauseated feeling. The net result was for the next few days, I hardly ate anything at all, just drank a bunch of water. My stomach couldn't handle it.

Anyhow, the point of the story, if anyone is looking for a good way to shed a few pounds, that would be one way to do it. LOL Although, I wouldn't recommend it. Ha-ha.

I'd rather have brain freeze!

So now, I am back home. Things have been boring. I have been catching up on some sleep. Catching up on my blogs. Getting ready to get back to writing books and songs.

Oh, I also decided that I will be participating in fantasy Football again this year. (I reserve the right to change my mind later though.) LOL And probably not the money leagues again this year after breaking even last year. I came pretty close to losing big. (I also reserve the right to change my mind about that too)

The summer has arrived at long last. (I think) and so now I don't know what will be going on. I am taking everything one day at a time. I am thinking about going back to California around August for a week or two before football season starts. Upon my return (should I go) I will be taking it easy for the remainder of the year and probably into March of 2014.

2014? ... Holy crap!

Yeah, I know, time does fly by doesn't it?

I hope you all enjoyed the "Vasey Interview". It was a long time in the making. I had several others waiting in the wings but they are taking a long time to develop also. Hopefully, I will get them back soon. They would be interesting if I do get them back. I will be working on it between now and .... whenever. But as for the band Vasey, we'll keep up with them and their progress.

My moving situation has occurred and well, I split my time between Piketon and Chillicothe currently. My parents divorce has been finalized and things are moving slow right now. A lot of my friends (from GR) are moving forward in their lives and planning college or getting married or working themselves to the bone so I don't get to keep up with them all like I used to. I miss them though. I mean, I miss all their many emails we used to send to one another. But that is life. It evolves. I am happy for them that they have busy lives. When I do get an email from them, it makes my day. But they know I am always right here if they ever need anything. I would do just about anything for all of them. They are great internet friends. I even have a few of them in my will, should anything ever happen to me, they will get a little something to maybe help them pay for their education or something. That's how much they mean to me.

Okay, back to the brain freeze.

I will talk to you all soon.

Peace and love to all.
